What is Playground?
Playground is a new experiential platform focused on generative works of art stored immutably on the Solana blockchain.
What are Waves?
Waves is the first drop that Playground will be featuring.
Waves is generative artwork inspired by the fluidity of the crypto markets including: Bollinger Bands, wave theory, and moon math charts. Waves is a collection of one thousand uniquely generated artworks created using p5.js, embodying the full spectrum of emotions across the market cycles.

When is the drop date?
We are partnering with Raydium for the drop via their new DropZone platform. The specific date and time for the drop is September 24th at 14:00 UTC (7am PST).

How does the drop process work?
The process will be a lottery type system held on Raydium's DropZone site: https://dropzone.raydium.io/
Members can deposit SOL to purchase tickets for the lottery. Winners receive a "Drop Box" token which can be redeemed on our website to mint one original NFT from the Waves collection.
Here is a visual guide of how this process works.
How much is each lottery ticket?
Each lottery ticket is 3 SOL each, and each person can purchase up to 3 tickets in total (max deposit 9 SOL).
How long does the lottery last?
The lottery opens on September 24 at 14:00 UTC and ends on September 24 14:05 UTC (it is 5 minutes in total).
What happens to the losing tickets?
You can immediately reclaim your SOL back at the end of the lottery (September 24 14:05 UTC) for losing lottery tickets.
What happens after I receive a winning ticket?
If you have a winning lottery ticket, you can redeem your winning ticket for a "Drop Box" token on the Raydium DropZone website.
With your Drop Box token you have two actions you can take:
You can trade this token on the Serum markets immediately (buy and sell Drop Box tokens)
You can take your Drop Box tokens and redeem a Wave on the Playground website (https://playground.ink/)
Note: Drop Boxes MUST be redeemed on the Playground Waves website by September 26th 15:00 UTC approximately 48 hours after the DropZone launch.
What is the information for the Serum market (For Drop Box tokens)
We do not have this yet but we plan on sharing market information before the 24th.
What do whitelisted members receive?
Our early community members who are on the whitelist will receive a higher probability to mint a Wave through the ability to get more lottery tickets.
Whitelisted members will be able to get up to 6 lottery tickets in the Raydium DropZone.
While we cannot guarantee whitelisted members a mint, this will give members a higher probability to mint during the lottery.
Is the whitelist still open?
No - the whitelist for Playground commenced on Sunday September 12th.
What is the total supply of Waves?
The supply is capped at 1,000 uniquely generated Wave NFTs.
What format will the Wave NFT be in?
The NFT in the Phantom wallet will be a static image; however, we plan to add on the ability to "replay the generation event" (aka live view) on our website for the Waves you own. This might not be ready on the drop date itself but we are working on this part.
What is the resolution of each wave?
The uploaded NFT resolution will be 1200x1200 pixels. If you need a larger version for any reason you can send me a DM afterwards and we’ll get you the highest resolution we can get.
Will there be a secondary market?
Yes, we are working with various marketplaces to have Waves listed shortly after the Raydium DropZone commences.
Will there be a community fund?
Yes, we will place the majority of our total sales into our “community vault.” We want to use this to both support other artists in the Solana NFT space and continue to build Playground over time.
Did the team or Playground receive any private allocation of Waves?
No - the team is participating in the lottery just like everyone else. We will also be looking to acquire Drop Box tokens on the Serum markets as well.
Do I own the Wave after purchasing?
Yes, full intellectual properties are given to the buyer. You can learn more about your rights as a Wave holder in our Terms Section (https://www.playground.ink/terms/).
What is the roadmap for Playground going forward?
Playground was intended to be more of a fun and experimental place for the team and I to try things out in generative art, Solana, and NFT space (hence the name).
In the short term, our goal is to get this drop out smoothly, create a better viewing experience post-launch, create a "live view" mode to replay the generation event for each Wave, etc.
In the longer term, we would love to do more drops, work with outside artists, create a DAO to back other creators in the space, potentially work on the tooling/software side, potentially work on things around fractionalization/private marketplaces/etc.
A lot will depend on how this first drop goes, where the community wants to take this, and the highest leverage areas we can help support with.
