Playground’s Epoch Drop with Magic Eden & Solanalysis

Playground is very excited to share more details about the drop process for Epoch.

Playground is a platform focused on generative works of art stored immutably on the Solana blockchain. Solana is an energy efficient, high throughput, fast, and secure blockchain built for global scale.

Our new featured collection, Epoch, is a generative artwork created by the renowned generative artist Eko33 (featured at Art Basel Miami 2021), and inspired by the concept of time and Solana’s validator schedule.

Drop Details

Our drop will commence in two parts: 

1. A whitelist drop for Playground Wave holders, in partnership with Solanalysis.

2. A public drop for everyone, in partnership with Magic Eden.

Whitelist Drop

The whitelist sale will be open for all Playground Wave holders who have verified themselves on our Discord group (via Grape).

All Playground Wave holders will have the right, but not the obligation, to purchase an Epoch if they would like one. Each verified member (via Grape) will be able to purchase one Epoch for the Whitelist drop.

The whitelist sale will be done in partnership with Solanalysis and their new Moonshot product starting on December 8th at 8am PST. A link will be shared within our verified holder channel on Discord (#the-ocean) and will be open for 24 hours to give enough time for all Wave holders to participate.

Note: Wave holders must have verified themselves in our Discord (via Grape) by December 1st. We have already been taking continuous snapshots of all our verified members up until this point.

In addition to our Playground Wave holders, we will be raffling off 5 additional spots to the previous whitelist members for Wave (via Raydium) to individuals who are still part of & active within the Playground Discord group.

Public Drop

The public drop will be open for everyone who would like to participate. 

The public drop will be done in partnership with Magic Eden and their new Launchpad product, starting on December 10th at 9am PST. A link will be shared in our announcement channel and Discord leading up closer to the drop date.

FAQ

How much is each Epoch?
Each Epoch will be 3 SOL for both the Wave holders and public members. 

What is the total supply of Epochs?
The supply is capped at 1,000 uniquely generated Epoch NFTs.

What format will the Epoch NFT be in?
The Epoch NFT will be a static image; however, we will have a “live view” to play the animation event for the Epochs you own, similar to how we implemented animations for the Waves > https://www.playground.ink/wave-999/

What is the resolution of each Epoch?
The uploaded NFT resolution will be 3000x3000 pixels. 

Will there be a secondary market?
Yes, after the public drop commences, Epochs will be immediately tradable on the Magic Eden marketplace.
